Maple maca cookies

Cook time:     15 minutes

Makes 40 – 45


140 g organic maca powder 240 ml oil
2 tsp baking powder 150 g soft brown sugar
140 g quinoa flour 235 g maple syrup
140 g plain flour (or rice flour) 1 tbsp vanilla extract
1 tsp salt 100 g walnuts, chopped
1 tsp nutmeg


  1. Sift the maca, baking powder, flours, nutmeg and salt into a bowl and add the walnuts
  2. In another bowl mix the oil, sugar, maple syrup and vanilla extract
  3. Carefully fold the dry mixture into the wet mixture until well combined
  4. Drop rounded teaspoonfuls of the mixture onto a greased baking sheet and flatted slightly with the back of a fork
  5. Bake for 12 minutes, or until the edges begin to brown
  6. Leave to cool on the baking sheet, before transferring to a cooling rack

Super Cholo Tip

Try substituting the sugar for coconut sugar
